Saying Something but not Really Saying Anything

It is really hard to learn and to experience everything...

I was aiming the frequency of a new blog pot to be once in every two days or so, but unfortunately, that is impossible. I've been writing this post for more than a week or so. Apologies, if you were ever waiting for an update.

I'm not saying that ahhh SNS, internet addiction, ahhh, modern people, ahhh so degenerate like your grandparents (well to be honest, my grandfathers never said those things to me, grandmothers, however...).

Anyways, the IT revolution made a cost of information creation and acquisition much much much cheaper than people before that could ever believe. I mean who could imagine how the companies made money in an era without e-mails and excels!? Is this a bad thing? Well, I don't think so. This kind of things have happened number of times throughout the history and as it happens the quality of our lives have increased drastically. Yeah sure, it produced a lot of new types of miseries, but at least we can live up to 80 on average, and we don't have to be sad for more than half of the newborns dying at the birth in the most developed parts of the world!

I will talking about this some day when I have enough time and knowledge, but for now, that is not the point.

So what is the point?

There are people who are saying something, but if you listen to it carefully, their not really saying anything. Like this blog post really. Anyways, today, we can get facts really easily but not only facts, you can grab opinions of other people easily too. This creates a kind of people who just pulls stuff from the internet and make a discussion into who has the most facts and convincing opinion found on the web contest.

One may think "Isn't it every discussion ever?", I say no. I mean there's no creation of information happening in this process. Yeah, it sounds like those people are saying something profound and smart but is it really though. Just passing on the information, even Siri* can do that. I think the important thing is a creative discussion rather than giving each other the facts and some opinions on the web.

Is there such thing as an opinion that is truly original?

Has always been a question which has been lying inside of me when it comes to talking about things (anything really). Is my opinion my opinion or just a bunch of random quotes from bunch of random literature/articles/posts/people I read or heard? Well, I can quote bunch of philosophers but that proves nothing for myself, so let me not do that. I think the important thing is to have an opinion based on your own experience and the perception of the real world.

Here I emphasised real because what's real sometimes really be affected by opinions of others. I'm not saying that being influenced by others is a bad thing either though, if you are kind of person who brainlessly believes others, I think that is its own personality and I'm not going to say that you should change it.

I guess the point here is that, in the world where information is so easily be retrieved from the thing called the internet, having an opinion or view of the world based on your personal experience is a wonderful thing and very entertaining for me to talk about such things let aside the logical and (objective) fact based conversations. I think that is why, sometimes discussing about how we do science and perceive art and music is more entertaining and inspirational than discussing about scientific facts an artistic and musical theories.

I might revise this article later for spelling and grammatical mistakes.
